I know I'm taking a risk on linking to this video, but....

I know I'm inviting more attacks from the groups that argue that 9/11 was an "inside job," somehow orchestrated by the Bush administration. But I did want to link to this fascinating youtube.com video. It's Noam Chomsky, the linguist turned political activist who is about as fierce a critic of the United States government -- and the Bush administration, in particular -- as you can find in this country. I can't tell exactly when or where these comments were made. His views on the concept of 9/11 as an inside job? Without further commentary, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwZ-vIaW6Bc. Phil Shenon

Just arrived after catching your session with Michael Duffy for Afterwords, on C-SPAN. Learned a good deal from that conversation, and wish to learn more.

Personally, upon finding this Noam Chomsky piece at the top of your blog, I consider this a very good omen for exploring here more deeply.

Thank you for this book, and for your ongoing efforts to shed more light on this extraordinarily important matter.

speaking of linking to videos and films, what is your opinion, mr. shenon, of the film Press for Truth?

To me, Chomsky lost all the respect I had for him. In fact, he says at the end of the video that even if it was true, that it was an inside job or that the government would have let it happen, he says "Who cares" and repeats that 9/11 is "insignificant".

He also says that no one could have predicted that planes would hit the twin towers on 9/11. The very person who made me discover this Chomsky video is Ohil Shenon, who just published a book about how IT WAS PREDICTABLE THAT PLANES COULD BE USED TO ATTACK IN NEW YORK.

Seriously, the very issue here is that American people, even smart ones, are in deep denial and too week to face that they now live in a fascist state, not only fascist, but also quite bankrupt.

It is a shame!

It's no surprise that a NY Times "Investigative Reporter" is a fan of Noam Chomsky!
